Here’s a quick poll for all you coffee freaks* out there: do you prefer drive thru or sit down coffee shops? What do you consider to be the pluses and minuses of each?

I usually end up driving thru, but I like sitting down better. I like the kind of coffeehouse vibe. My wife on the other hand likes coffee has much as I do, but does not like the coffehouse scene. What is really weird is that she knows several sets of baristas by name, but would never sit down and enjoy the beverage they just made for her in front of them. So, I usually only go inside and sit when I am by myself or when I bring my daughters, who enjoy the atmosphere too. There is a chain down here in Louisiana called PJ’s. Each of the branches is individually managed and set up. They are my favorite Louisiana houses to go sit down in.

Thanks much for your comment! I’m kind of in the same boat as you – I enjoy sitting down when I can, but usually end up driving thru due to time. I’ll have to check out PJ’s next time I find myself in Louisiana! Sounds like a solid place to grab a cup of joe.
